Alison Skillen hosted the event at her house on October 26 with friend Kim du Bois from Mullaloo to raise funds for the Women’s Walk for Cancer.

‘My friend and I have both lost our mums to cancer and so we decided to enter the Walk for Women’s Cancer, which is a 60km walk to be held in March next year,’ Mrs Skillen said.

‘We have each pledged to raise funds for this event, thus the Tea Party. We didn’t want to just go around asking for money from people but decided to offer a fun entertaining afternoon, with prizes and raffles and an auction.’
