Detectives are still investigating the incident, which was thought to have involved a man aged between 30 and 40 years old.

Joondalup Senior Sergeant Craig Wanstall said the 15-year-old girl was walking through Crinum Court about 8.30am on Friday when a man grabbed her by the left arm.

Sen-Sgt Wanstall said the man grabbed the girl and told her to ‘just keep walking, just keep walking’.’

He said the offender kept hold of the girl and walked her towards Woodvale Secondary College. He let her go when the area became busy with people.

The girl had been too scared to say anything. The man was wearing a brown shirt and had a slim build.

Sen-Sgt Wanstall said there had also been an incident in Landsdale on Thursday when a man asked a girl at a bus stop if she needed a lift.

He said there was no reason to believe the two were linked. He reiterated the need for students to be careful when walking to school.

‘We want to remind parents to be vigilant and make sure kids are walking together to school,’ he said. ‘If you see anyone suspicious, please call police.’
