WANNEROO teenager Alicia Tavani will represent the area in the Miss Teen Galaxy Australia competition for a second time.
Her mother Joelle said her daughter came fourth overall last year in the Queensland national finals and was the youngest contestant there.
“This year Alicia has re-entered the competition and is wanting to head over to Nationals again but this time to come first to show the community that age doesn’t matter and that a 14-year-old can take the crown,” she said.
“Alicia is up against a lot of girls who are much older than her but she knows that she has what it takes to win.”
Alicia is fundraising for two charities, Make-A-Wish and Wildlife Warriors, and also promoting her sponsor, the Burns Beach-based anti-bullying organisation Kidzucate.
She will appear at Kidzucate’s fundraising masquerade cocktail party in Connolly this Friday and represent it at a fundraising Halloween market at Wanneroo Tavern on Saturday.
“Alicia has became a teen advocate for Kidzucate, as it’s her passion to help young teens like herself,” her mother said.
