THE Jungle Giants is set to rock Wanneroo Showground after being announced today as the headline act for this year’s City of Wanneroo Presents Concert.

The Australian indie-rock band known for its energetic live sets has played shows across North America, Asia and New Zealand as well as venues all around Australia and many festival appearances.

The four-piece also dominated this year’s triple j Hottest 100 as the only independent act to achieve four entries, including a top 20 entry with Feel the Way I Do.

Mayor Tracey Roberts is encouraging the community to attend the free, family-friendly event, which she said was “a favourite for our residents” on November 3.

“What is better than an evening of free entertainment, catering for everyone in the family with brilliant live music and children’s activities,” she said.

“There will also be an array of delicious food available from some of Perth’s best food trucks or pack a picnic and enjoy a laidback night under the stars.”

The complete line-up will be announced later this month.

Tickets are free but essential and will be available to City of Wanneroo residents from 9am on October 1, with a second release planned for 6pm on October 3.

Any remaining tickets will open to the general public at 9am on October 12.
