The 3MT competition challenges PhD and Masters research students to condense their research into a three-minute presentation.

Philippa Vojnovic’s presentation, Managing mental health and suicide among FIFO workers, described the barriers preventing workers from accessing support services.

‘Most companies do offer support programs, but they’re under-used because there’s stigma around getting help, and workers are afraid that they will lose their jobs,’ she said.
