Third time vehicle damage at Landsdale home

A LANDSDALE home was targeted for a third time by offenders who set alight their caravan this morning.

Police said at about 4.20am, offenders have taken some accelerant to set alight a caravan and a vehicle parked outside a Dorneywood Way home.

Acting superintendent Rohan Ingles said the CCTV footage showed two offenders approaching the house.

“It shows a person appearing to spread fuel onto the van and the vehicle, and igniting it,” he said.

“The same premises have been targeted on three separate occasions.”

Police said a car was shot at on November 14 and up to 13 shots from a .22 calibre firearm were fired at another car on December 4.

They believed a person involved in the December 4 incident was riding a motorcycle last seen heading along Heathfield Drive towards Mirrabooka Avenue at about 4:35am.

Acting superintendent Ingles said police believed the same people were involved in all three incidents.

“This matter is being treated as a high-priority by the Joondalup detectives who have a dedicated team working on the investigation,” he said.

“We’ve put in plans to patrol the Landsdale area more frequently and that will be underway.”
