The two men accosted the victim (31) in the car park of Connolly Shopping Centre on Fairway Circle about 7.45pm on WA Day, June 3.

The man was inside his vehicle when they asked for a cigarette before knocking him to the ground with a punch to the head.

They stomped on his face while he lay on the ground, using so much force that the ‘Element’ branding of one the offenders’ shoes was left imprinted on the man’s face.

They fled with his blue Holden Commodore sedan, which was later found burnt out in Whitfords Nodes Park in Hillarys on June 4.

The offenders were described as between 20 and 30 years old and had fair complexion.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw two people running from the vehicle when it was set alight in Hillarys.

Any information should go to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
