Tireless volunteer honoured

The mother-of-three ” who commits five days a week to volunteering ” was nominated for her work with Assistance Dogs Australia and the Ballajura Lions Club as vice- president.

Volunteering from the age of 14, Mrs McDonald said she had been involved with many other charities including the WA Lions Drug Education and McCusker Alzheimer’s Research foundations.

‘There are people out there a lot less fortunate than us; if I can give my time and make someone have a better life then my job is done,’ Mrs McDonald said.

Her husband, sons and their partners all attended the ceremony on Sunday.
