A report to the council, compiled by Cr Dot Newton, said landowners, business operators and residents had raised concerns the intersection could not cope with current traffic volumes.
Wanneroo councillors asked City staff at last week’s council meeting to provide a report on installing traffic lights at the intersection.
The report would include an overview of recent traffic counts, traffic treatment options, funding, cost recovery options and a possible road safety audit.
