Traffic study to consider impact of boulevard realignment

Staff ReporterWanneroo Times

Wanneroo Councillor Brett Treby said after the realignment, big commercial vehicles could use the surrounding residential streets.

‘I think (this) raises reasonable concerns with the residents, and we should take steps to acknowledge that and have a look at the traffic management issues,’ he said.

Cr Treby moved the study after staff recommended councillors not support a noise wall along the Pearsall boundary between Archer Street and Higginsville Parade. Cr Frank Cvitan said the City had the appropriate funds and resources if a wall was needed but that it would be sensible to wait for a traffic management assessment.
