Travers quits transport position

Opposition Leader Mark McGowan said he had accepted the resignation from Mr Travers, whose office is in Joondalup.

Ken has resigned for personal reasons and to focus on electorates across the northern suburbs, he said. On behalf of Caucus and the WA Labor Party I thank Ken for his contribution to the Shadow Cabinet over the past six and a half years, especially his work in the transport portfolio.

Mr McGowan said he would take over the transport, agriculture and food, infrastructure, Wheatbelt and Mid-West portfolios until announcing changes to the line-up.
