Tree lop warning

THE City of Joondalup has sought to clarify a tree business leaflet it says was delivered to residents ahead of council green waste collections in Kingsley and Padbury.

The leaflet titled Greenswaste Collections from West Australian Tree Services advises: ‘You may be unaware that your local council has cut back your greenwaste collection to once a year’.

Joondalup chief executive Garry Hunt said there had been no alterations to the City’s bulk verge collection schedule, which occurred about every nine months.

“Residents who have received the flyer are urged to disregard the information and instead consult the waste management search tool at the City’s website to discover when their next bulk collection is scheduled,” he said.
