Tribute paid to a dynamic force

Lauren PedenWanneroo Times

Ken, who was aged 91, was active on committees in U3A (University of the Third Age) and Probus.

He died of complications following the crash in mid April. He was injured when his car crashed into a palm tree while en route to a meeting of Carine Duncraig Probus Club, of which he was secretary.

Ken was a man who loved trees, both native and exotic, featuring in the Times in October last year with the giant grass tree spike, which he nurtured in his Greenwood garden.

"Ken was one of our rare golden treasures" always the first to volunteer no matter what the challenge, whether fetching and carrying, or taking on yet another demanding committee role," U3A North Coast chairman Pauline Yarwood said.
