Two 17-year-olds charged for attacking, robbing teen in Tapping

POLICE have charged two youths for allegedly attacking and robbing a teenager in Tapping last month.

The 16-year-old victim was riding a bike on Castledene Way on August 11 when a car pulled up near him.

The two suspects, both 17, are accused of chasing the boy and kicking his back tyre, causing him to fall.

One of the youths allegedly kicked him in the face.

The other is accused of punching him in the back of the head.

They allegedly stole property from the victim.

He was not seriously injured but had swelling around his eye.

Police charged the pair, both from Tapping, with aggravated robbery.

They are due to appear in Joondalup Children’s Court today.
