Unique creations close to home

Landscapes incorporating crushed wildflowers and other items from her garden, small acrylics and oils and exterior boards featuring recycled materials will be on show at 3 Koolyanga Road.

The mixed media artist said the garden of her long-time home was a constant inspiration ” kangaroo paws often featured in her paintings.

A newly planted contemporary native front garden provided further inspiration and an ideal backdrop for her work.

A well-known textile artist, Franke brings exterior boards to life with pebbles, pressed tin and other recyclables and a rusted paint effect.

‘This will be a diverse show of about 40 pieces, some new, some older,’ she said.

Award-winning Franke, welcomes the public this Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm both days.
