MUSIC, dancing and fireworks will feature at Vietnamese New Year celebrations in Wanneroo this weekend.

The annual Tet Festival run by the Vietnamese Community in Australia WA Chapter kicks off at Wanneroo Showground on Friday night.

There will be a range of entertainment, including lion dances, beauty contests, live music, carnival activities and show rides, along with 50 stalls of authentic Vietnamese foods and displays.

Entry is free and people who wear the Vietnamese national costume, ao dai, will go into the draw to win a TV. It runs from 6pm to midnight on Friday and from 5pm to midnight on Saturday, with fireworks 8pm both nights.
