Volunteer centre opens doors

The centre also opened in time to celebrate Volunteer Week this week.

‘The City of Wanneroo received more than 200 enquiries within the first three months of 2014, which is more than double the number received in previous years,’ Mayor Tracey Roberts said.

The centre at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre provides information about volunteer roles in the City and other local community organisations and provides an advisory service to not-for-profit groups.

The City has more than 500 volunteers helping in a variety of roles.
