WA driver dies in car rollover

A MAN has died after his rolling his car while towing a trailer in Western Australia.

The man’s Ford drifted into the gravel verge of a road in Mogumber, about 140km north of Perth, before swerving and rolling.

The 47-year-old man, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene.

WA Police said Major Crash officers were investigating the crash, which happened at around 1.15pm on Friday.

“A white Ford F250 towing a trailer was travelling south along Bindoon Moora Road,” a spokeswoman said.

“Near Mogumber Road, the F250 drifted onto the left hand gravel verge of the road, then swerved hard to the right and rolled, ending up on its roof.

“The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 47-year-old man, received life-threatening injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

“Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or the F250 immediately prior to the crash.”

Officers are hoping to speak to a driver who was travelling north on Bindoon Moora Road near Mogumber Road at the time of the crash.
