THE WA Police Regional Operations Group, which responds to incidents such as out-of-control parties, will have a new branch in Neerabup.
The team was formerly based at Curtin House near the CBD but Police Minister Liza Harvey said a northern-based branch was needed for better efficiency.
The $2.2 million facility opened this week.
“The new location means these rapid response teams are now located in the heart of the areas they patrol,” she said.

She said the facility had the capacity to accommodate 100 officers, with added space for equipment and dozens of vehicles.
