WA Police have dispatched “multiple units” to a home in Perth’s northern suburbs after they received a call from a worried walker who had heard a toddler screaming and a man shouting “why don’t you die”.

Police from Wanneroo converged on the scene and were relieved to find the man had only been screaming at a rather scary spider.

The post from Wanneroo Police.

Police said they found no injuries at the scene – except to the unfortunate arachnid, who could not be saved.

The father did apologise to authorities, confessing to a serious fear of the eight-legged creatures.
