Tapping motorcycle crash victim remains in critical condition as WA Police investigate

UPDATE, Friday, 25/11:  A YOUNG motorcyclist who was struck by a 4WD in Tapping yesterday remains in a critical condition as police put a call out for information on the incident.

Police Media spokeswoman Ros Weatherall said the 21-year-old rider, of Banksia Grove, was travelling west on Joondalup Drive about 8.45am when his maroon Yamaha motorcycle collided with a white Ford Ranger turning right into St Stephen Crescent.

The victim is being treated in Royal Perth Hospital for “significant head injuries”.

THURSDAY: A MOTORCYCLIST suffered critical injuries when he was struck by a car in Tapping this morning.

The crash happened about 8.40am on Joondalup Drive near St Stephens Crescent.

St John Ambulance officers took the male rider, aged in his 20s, to Joondalup Health Campus where he was transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police were still redirecting traffic at the scene more than two hours later, causing significant delays on Joondalup Drive.
