MOTORISTS who missed out on the last anti-theft screw giveaway have another chance to land a set of the popular freebies for licence plates this weekend.

A Wanneroo police team will be at Nuford car dealership in Wangara on Saturday attaching the security accessories with the help of Greenwood police rangers.

The screws can be tightened but not loosened with a conventional screwdriver, making it difficult for potential licence plate thieves.

Officers are sticklers for number plate security given criminals attach stolen plates to vehicles for use in such crimes as ram raids and fuel drive-offs.

Police and Neighbourwood Watch volunteers will be at the car yard on Wanneroo Road from 10am to 2pm.
