WA Police has welcomed 57 new police officers.
They graduated last Thursday night in a ceremony involving Commissioner Karl |O’Callaghan and Police Minister Liza Harvey at WA Police Academy in Joondalup.
The new officers – with an average age of 28 – completed a 28-week course.
Six graduates served in the armed forces, most have attained tertiary qualifications and all have worked in the public or private sector.
Twenty-two graduates were born overseas in countries including England, Mauritius, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Wales and Zimbabwe.
They now move to frontline roles.
