Walking for mother’s memory

The Joondalup resident experienced her first stroke 13 years ago at the age of 64.

In March this year, she suffered three more strokes and died in April.

To honour her mother, Catherine Matthews challenged herself to walk the Mt Henry and Canning bridges, a task made difficult due to inflammatory arthritis.

‘I completed the 7km walk with family and friends despite stormy weather,” Catherine said.
