Wangara: Fostering Hope celebrates first birthday

MORE than 50 people helped to celebrate the first birthday of Fostering Hope in Wangara.

Founder Linzi Mooney said the group had gone from two mums wanting to make a change to having 10,000 members.

“We fundraised and managed to get a year’s rent so we have opened a store in Wangara and now we are celebrating our first birthday,” she said.

“We work on collecting donations and giving them to children in foster care who come into care with absolutely nothing.

“We have helped more than 300 children in foster care and sent clothing to the Kimberley and remote communities struggling to clothe children.”
