A MAN allegedly threw a loaded gun out of the window of a vehicle during a police pursuit in Wangara this month.

Officers attempted to stop the Holden Rodeo about 12.20am on Paramount Drive on Saturday, August 12.

Sergeant Stuart Fairlie said the officers allegedly saw a black object thrown from the car.

The car became bogged after losing control at the intersection of Motivation and Excellence drives.

Two men were detained.

“Police hunted for the black object and found a loaded handgun,” Sgt Fairlie said.

Officers also seized methamphetamine and an extendable baton.

Police charged a Girrawheen man (24), who was driving the vehicle, with eight offences.

Among them were allegations of reckless driving, firearm possession and drug possession.
