ARTIST Jerome Davenport is painting a 300sq m mural at Wanneroo Central shopping centre.
The Wembley Downs resident has been painting a wall in the centre’s north carpark, which is undergoing a $20 million redevelopment.
Davenport said the artwork, expected to take three weeks to finish, would reflect the history of Wanneroo and pay tribute to market gardeners.
It features faces of pioneer Margaret Cockman and market gardener and former mayor Nick Trandos.
