A WANNEROO community group has donated a bench designed to promote inclusivity to a local school.

Members of Wanneroo Community Men’s Shed built a buddy bench for students at Boyare Primary School in Mirrabooka.

Group chairman Dan O’Keefe said it would provide opportunities for children to learn important social skills.

“A buddy bench is a special seat a child can go to when they feel lonely and have no friends or when they are being bullied,” he said.
