WANNEROO Council has extended the contracts of two senior employees for five years.
Councillors agreed to extend chief executive Daniel Simms contract for five years to November 2024 and authorised the mayor to execute his contract during a confidential session at their December 10 meeting.
Mr Simms has been chief executive at the City since 2008 and his salary was in the $360,000 to $369,000 bracket last financial year.
They also unanimously supported a recommendation to re-appoint assets director Harminder Singh for another five-year term.
Mr Singh has worked at the City since 1996 and became assets director in 2015.
