Wanneroo husband and wife charged after alleged domestic disturbance

AN argument between a husband and wife in Wanneroo this month allegedly resulted in the man being stabbed and the woman being punched in the face.

Police charged both of them over the April 9 incident.

The 70-year-old wife allegedly stabbed her 63-year-old husband in the arm and chest causing minor wounds.

The man is accused of causing severe bruising and swelling to the woman’s face when he allegedly punched her.

Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Fairley said the pair would not cooperate with police so officers charged both of them because of the serious nature of the incident.

The woman was charged with aggravated unlawful wounding.

The man was charged with aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm.

They are due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on May 8.
