“Her work as a care manager was her greatest passion and she put in tireless hours to make sure the residents got the best possible care.

“Her dedication, compassion and respect of those in her care was unwavering right up until her retirement due to ill health in October 2017.

“Trish fought cancer with grit, determination and dignity, sadly passing away in June 2018.

“Though Trish is no longer with us, her spirit very much lives on in the hearts and minds of the staff and residents.”

In honour of her birthday on December 21, the lodge unveiled a memorial plaque to commemorate her “time, love and commitment to us all”.

Just days before the ceremony, the lodge also lost 107-year-old resident Dorothy May Jamieson.

Mrs Jamieson had lived at the facility since 2009.
