WANNEROO Lions Club recently held a ‘Welcome back’ afternoon tea for the Black Dog Riders who spent 10 days riding around WA to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
The national Black Dog Ride involved thousands of Australian motorcycle riders who have raised more than $2 million for mental health services.
Funds raised go to Lifeline’s online crisis support chat service and Mental Health First Aid’s teen program in secondary schools.
The WA Black Dog Riders travelled through WA towns including Busselton, Swan Valley, Hyden, Kalgoorlie, Mt Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Karratha, Carnarvon and Geraldton.
