Wanneroo Tennis Club members trade racquets for paint brushes

A GROUP of Wanneroo Tennis Club members are not only talented with a racquet but a paint brush too.

Besides practising their backhand at the Elliot Road courts, the group also meets each week to brush up on their art skills which they’ll exhibit next month.

Made up of 12 artists, the group’s first exhibition at the tennis clubrooms will officially open on August 11 from 4.30-9.30pm, with further viewings on August 12 at 11am-3pm and August 15 at 6-9pm.

Artist Joy George said the exhibition had been made possible by the tennis club committee which allowed the group to meet every Friday to hone their art skills.
