PEOPLE learnt how to respond to a cyber attack during a recent workshop in Wanneroo.
The Cyber Attack-Response Drill program was run by Cyber8Lab, the Wanneroo Business Association and Australian Women in Security Network Perth chapter.
It was attended by people from various sectors, including academia, cyber security, food industries, healthcare and media.
The exercise at the Hybrid 935 focused on post-incident investigations and analysis of different types of cyber attacks, such as phishing, wireless intrusion and web defacement.
Cyber8Lab founder Daisy Sinclair said the three organisations collaborated to deliver the program for the first time in WA.
“Together we have successfully brought in the most sought-after, hands-on skills and knowledge based on real-life cyber attack scenarios into this market,” she said.
Association business liaison officer Lauren McGee said it was particularly beneficial for small-business owners.
