Celebrations mark the opening of redevelopment of Lakeside Joondalup

They started with the unveiling of a plaque yesterday morning in one of new WA Governor Kerry Sanderson’s first jobs in the role.

The redeveloped centre opens today with a Myer store and more speciality shops.

The X Factor winner Marlisa will perform her new single Stand By You in the Myer Centre Court at 5pm today. Samantha Jade will follow on Friday, singing Sweet Lips and signing autographs.

Model Jennifer Hawkins will appear on Saturday at Myer from 11.30am. Singer Jessica Mauboy will later sing Pop a Bottle and Can I Get a Moment.

Lakeside Joondalup manager Jo Francis said the centre wanted to embrace the concept of ‘Live it Up’ to reflect its new position. There will be weekend fashion parades.
