The final concept plan for the facility at the Wanneroo Showground includes skate terraces, ledges and an enclosed bowl for all wheel sports as well as a community/spectator turf embankment, performance space and basketball court.

Councillors Dianne Guise, Dot Newton and Frank Cvitan spoke in support of the concept plan at last week’s council meeting.

‘When this magnificent facility is completed, many will be able to access it because it’s along Wanneroo Road where there’s public transport,’ Cr Newton said.

‘This will be something the City will be proud of and we’ve gone to extraordinary lengths to consult with our youth.’
