Whittling competition|to take out scholarship

She was one of two students in WA to receive a $1500 P&N Bank Student Scholarship award for her high academic achievement, leadership abilities and personal qualities as chosen by an Education Department panel of judges.

‘I am conscious that there were many worthy winners from all over WA, so to win is a great boost to my ultimate aim of winning entrance to university,’ Amy said.

Amy excels as an athlete, musician and student.

She has plans to study psychology at university and will use the money towards a school expedition to Fiji, where she will participate in voluntary aid work.

Last year’s recipient, Kendra Campbell, was also from Duncraig Senior High School.
