A POWER pole is causing an obstacle for drivers in Landsdale.
Road was built around the pole on the newly created Candlestick Avenue at the corner of Landsdale Road, part of Draft Nominees’ Hillview Estate.
A Western Power spokesman said it had been working with the developer to realign a section of its high voltage (HV) network to allow an access road to the estate.

“The usual process on these types of developments is to move the pole and then build the road which has clearly not happened in this situation,” he said.
“Western Power is disappointed that this situation has happened.”
The spokesman said they advised the developer the section of road should be closed to traffic until after October 28 for traffic safety.
A social media user posted a photo of the unmarked pole on Tuesday but City of Wanneroo acting planning and sustainability director Matthew Piggott said the developer had previously barricaded it.
An “unknown party” had twice removed the barricades and the City placed cones and signs around the pole on Tuesday night as a temporary measure.
“The developer has been requested to urgently provide alternative traffic management controls (i.e. water bollards) that are less likely to be interfered with to ensure the site remains safe,” he said.
The City will take control of the road after the relocation of the pole.
Draft Nominees directed queries to Musgrave Contracting, which it said was responsible for the works, and the business has been contacted for comment.
