His prize included a solo exhibition, which he is on show at Joondalup’s blend(er) gallery in Central Walk until Saturday, February 1.
Inspired by pop art and artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Young (21) has developed a distinctive graphic style using digital art.
‘The exhibition is mostly digital art plus some sculpture,’ he said.
‘My pieces are very pop art inspired ” I like bright colours.
Young, who hopes to work in the digital art field, has been successfully entering local art competitions since he was 14.
Although ‘nervous,’ he was looking forward to his first solo show.
