Witness appeal over serious road incident

A WOMAN was taken to hospital for serious leg injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in Alexander Heights yesterday.

The 55-year-old woman was a passenger in a 2012 dark grey Volkswagen Golf driven by her son, which followed a 2001 white Toyota Camry into the Linto Way cul-de-sac after being involved in a minor traffic incident.

The driver of the Toyota Camry tried to leave the cul-de-sac and struck the woman as he left the area at about 12.20pm.

Police said the woman suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

The driver of the Camry attended Mirrabooka Police Station a short time later.
