WEST Coast Wolverines player Ben Giff, of Clarkson, is on a mission to gather more than 500 men proudly sporting a mo at the Movember Bowl Weekender this month.

The Joondalup gridiron team, along with Gridiron West and Varsity Bar, will host the event to raise money and awareness for men’s health.

Mr Giff said the Movember Foundation was a good fit for the sport.

‘The league is 100 per cent male, so this is a charity that’s going to affect everyone.

‘It’s as much about getting people talking about mental health as raising money. It’s about reaching out to people, engaging men and getting them talking about their health,’ he said.

To be held at Kingsway Sporting Complex on November 21 and 22, the Movember Bowl Weekender will feature games by junior and senior Gridiron West teams, with men and their mos encouraged to take to the field for a group photo from 5pm on November 22.
