Work starts on $1.8m Greenwood train station upgrade

Laura PondWanneroo Times

WORK has started on a $1.8 million upgrade to provide more shelter at Greenwood Station.

The project will increase the covered area on the station’s two platforms from 20 to 60 per cent and includes installation of additional CCTV cameras, new lighting and public speaker system, and improved drainage.

The width of the platform will be reduced by half during works and about 10 car parking bays will be used for storing construction materials.

The project is expected to be competed within three to four months.
