GINGIN Police are seeking information from the public following suspicious fires in Yanchep Pine Plantation yesterday morning.
About 11am on October 23, police were notified of a number of fires that had been attended by about 60 Department of Parks and Wildlife and career and volunteers Fire and Rescue Services officers.
The fires were brought under control by 4pm on Sunday, having burnt about 15ha and Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued an ‘all clear’ notice this morning.
Police want to speak to anyone that was in the pine plantation that morning and in particular anyone that has information in relation to the fires.
