SHOPPERS stepped back in time to the 70s as Warwick Grove shopping centre celebrated its 40th birthday last week.
The centre hosted a range of themed events as part of its 7 Days of the 70s at Warwick Grove, including a market stall that sold everyday products such as soap, sugar, toothpaste and baked beans at 70s prices.
Funds raised from the stall were donated to Girrawheen Senior High School’s performing arts centre.
More activities were held on November 13, the centre’s original 1974 opening date, including pet rock decorating, a kombi van photo booth, prizes and giveaways.
Staff dressed up and decorated their stores in keeping with the groovy theme and attendees enjoyed free birthday cupcakes from The Cheesecake Shop Warwick.
