Year 6 and 7 students and school science specialist Mandy Froud spent several weeks preparing the scientific demonstrations to capture the interest of junior students.

Principal Gary Pyne said the school had a specialised science program and dedicated science room.

‘Having a specialist teacher in a primary school has provided a passion and curiosity with science-related learning for students,’ he said.

‘A number of innovative programs have been initiated, including a whole school science activity day that featured hands on science activities to reinforce learning of scientific concepts.’

Pearsall aims to make the science day an annual celebration of National Science Week.
