Check collection dates

IT will soon be that time again when residents in the City of Wanneroo are able to have their green waste collected by council.

Unfortunately, there are already flyers being delivered stating that the process is due in a few weeks. Please check with the council’s website at www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au or phone our waste management team on 9405 5200 to establish just when the collection in your area is due.

I write this letter as we have received such a flyer and our area is not due for collection for more than a month.

Also, check that the company you engage carries the required public liability as recommended by the Department of Consumer Protection. It recommends getting two quotes and seeking a reference.

Ensure you have in writing just what is included in the quote, for example removal of all waste, stump grinding or removal. Check out the department’s website at www.commerce.wa.gov.au
