City being snakes

When I see a snake near the kiddies play pit and phone the rangers, they tell me that it is not their responsibility and that I must arrange its removal (I don’t have any young children, mind, just a moral responsibility).

Therefore, it is the City’s responsibility when there is a quid to be made but the ratepayers’ responsibility when the expense of a snake catcher is involved.
