Civil unions for same sex couples, not marriage

I FEEL compelled to add my opinion on the subject of same-sex marriage.

It should never have been raised. If two people of the same sex are so inclined, they can have a civil union which can, as far as I am aware, be as legally binding as a marriage.

I fail to see how any person or politician can vote in favour of this move. One who does will certainly never get my vote in future.
