Reader concerned ‘Beatiful Birds’ letter about Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo aligned with misleading Corella photograph

THANK you for publishing in the October 26 edition my letter headlined "Beautiful birds" regarding the Carnaby's black cockatoos but I found it to be misleading putting it side by side with Gary Tate's photograph of the white corellas.

Anyone just glancing at the page would think the “beautiful birds” in question were the white corellas.

In fact, white corellas are a pest and pose another threat to the endangered Carnaby’s survival, aggressively competing for nesting hollows and food.
