THE charity garage sale held in Hillarys last month to raise funds for the pensioners of Zimbabwe was a huge success.
More than $10,000 was raised and cash donations are still being received. Much-needed food, medicine and other essentials will be bought for these deserving old folk.
The event was supported by hundreds of people and it was gratifying to meet so many concerned people willing to extend a hand to those in need.

Thanks must go to all the people who donated such a bountiful load of goods, to all the helpers who gave their time and expended so much energy, to the patience of our neighbours and to all the people who bought the goods and filled our donation box with cash.
On behalf of the pensioners, the Rhodesian Association of WA says thank you so much to everyone.
